T took this of me. This is the 500 TSH bill which has Nkrumah Hall on it, which is the building behind me on the UDSM campus. Kwame Nkrumah was the first President of Ghana. More info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kwame_Nkrumah
T and I took an afternoon trip to the Fish Market. It wasn’t as lively as it would have been in the morning, but it was still very cool. It has an obvious fishy smell, but everywhere you look there is something going on. I saw octopus being cut up, fish being bartered off and scales everywhere!
This is the “women’s section” and they are all choosing fish as the man is sliding them across the table and they fill up their buckets.
T and I went for a nice pizza and drink at Slipway, quite an indulgent splurge but worth it. (Looks a bit cottage-esque right?)
This is the view from on top of my Hall 4 Building. I love it more than anything about “chuo” which is the University. That’s the Indian Ocean over there folks!

More Stonetown streets.
The dala-dala in Zanzibar. Have a wonderful memory of a ride with T, and a flipflopless E and too much sun!
My New Year’s Eve LOBSTER! The best way to end the year and start the new one!
